Jesup First Baptist Church. Officiating were Rev. Larry Hubbard, Rev. Arthur Haymon, and Rev. Jerry Penfield. Burial followed in Ft. Jesup Cemetery. John Henry Brown died Friday, August 16, at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport. He is survived by his wife, Fannie Brown of Ft. Jesup; two sons, John Herbert Brown of Ruston, and Charles Henry Brown of Ft. Jesup; three sisters, Marie Wiley of Terrill, Tex., Merle Dockens of Zwolle, and Barbara Booksh of Grosse Tete, La.; four grandchildren, Jason Brown, Heath Brown, Heather Brown, and Stacy Lolley. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a grandson, Hunter Brown. He was a member of the Ft. Jesup First Baptist Church, and Assistant Fire Chief of the Ft. Jesup Volunteer Fire Department. Pallbearers included Cedric Speights, Mike Lyddy, Willie Bell, Eldrey Ferguson, Herbert Leach, David Davis, Jimmy Gates, and Winston Hodge. Honorary pallbearers were Thermon Reed, Tim Lyddy, Otha Savell, Mark Bridges, Kenneth Peterson, Jimmy Dees, and Reo Wright.
