H. Welch, Doug Hilton, James Hickman, and Buddy Freeman officiated. Interment followed in Union Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Brown died Sunday, May 17, at Sabine Medical Center in Many. He is survived by his children, Charlene Westfall of Many, Lucy D. Slaughter of Florien, Homer Lynn Brown of Converse, Judith Marie Killian of Hornbeck, and Retha Inez Rogers of Florien; one brother, Clarence Brown of Texas; one sister, Ruby Lee Waldrip of Texas; eighteen grandchildren; twenty seven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Ellzey Brown; and one daughter, Ernestine Brown Davis. Pallbearers were Keith Slaughter, Glen David Westfall, Ron Adams, Billy Rogers Jr., Frank Maranto, and Dave Funderburk.
