Burial followed in the Prewitts Chapel Cemetery in Hornbeck, under the direction of the Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Mrs. Brown, 84, of Hornbeck, died at 9 p.m., Sunday, March 29, in the Sabine Medical Center in Many. She was a native of Slagle, and had lived in Hornbeck for many, many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hornbeck. She was a member of Eastern Star Katherine B. Chapter #31, Hornbeck. Survivors include her husband, Hollis Brown of Hornbeck; two sons, Daniel Brown of Bronson, Texas, and Kenneth Brown of Haughton; one daughter, Murlene Cox of Hornbeck; three brothers, Woodman Woods of Tomball, Texas, Oddrea Woods of Silsbee, Texas, and Clint Woods of Leesville; three sisters, Ethel Gill of Vidor, Texas, Ettie Hext of Many, and Ellie Johnson of Keithville; fourteen grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren
