John L. Brown

  Services for Mr. John L. Brown, 59, were held at 10 a.m.,
Monday, June 21, 1993, at Prewitt Chapel Baptist Church.
Officiating was Rev. Huey Haymon. Burial was held in Prewitt
Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.

  Mr. Brown died June 18, 1993, at his residence in Hornbeck.

  He is survived by one son, John Larry Brown of Shreveport; one
stepson, James Hodge of Hornbeck; two stepdaughters, Elaine Marze
of Greenwood, Donna James of Dallas, Tex.; three sisters, Daisy
Powell of Hornbeck, Irene Brown of Pearland, Tex., and Margie
Procell of Shreveport; two brothers, Robert Brown of Hornbeck,
and Jerry Brown of Atlanta, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and a host
of nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers were Randy Brown, Wayne Powell, Donnie Powell,
Douglas Procell, Ronald Starkweather, Gene Powell, Darrel
Procell, and Dennis Procell.

  Honorary pallbearers were Jimmie Powell, Mark Powell, Tony
Duncan, and Jessie Nolen.
