All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mr. Lois Oather Brown Mr. Lois Oather Brown, 82, passed away at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Many, Oct. 18, 1993, at 2:25 a.m. He is survived by wife, Lear Mae Ellzey Brown of Hornbeck; two daughters, Glenda Brown McInnis, Hornbeck, and Sue Brown Dowden if Hornbeck; one son, Ralph Brown of Edmond, Okla.; two brother, Verdie Brown of New Braunfels, Tex., and Johnnie Rae Brown of Bossier City; one sister, Ann Fleagle of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, Shonie Remedies of Florien, Tammy Grabel of Scottsville, Tex., Keith Brown of Edmond, Okla., Monica McInnis of Hornbeck, and Karen Brown of Edmond, Okla.; and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by five brothers; and one sister. Services were held at Prewitts Chapel, with burial in Prewitts Cemetery, Oct. 20, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Huey Haymon, the Rev. Frances Belsha, and the Rev. Hoy Leach officiating. Mr. Brown was active in all church work, and a Deacon for numerous years, a song leader for 62 years at the Prewitts Chapel Church. Mr. Brown was retired from the La. Department of Highways.
