Brown, 86, of Mansfield, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, at Mansfield Chapel. Rev. John Riggle officiated. Interment was in Converse Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown was a resident of Mansfield for three years. She was born in Sabine Parish. Mrs. Brown passed away on October 9, 1994, at the Mansfield Nursing Center, after a lengthy illness. Survivors are her three sons, James P. Brown of Selitz, Oregon, Leon Brown of Sherwood, Ark., and Olin Brown of Mansfield; three daughters, Bernice Sigler of Bossier City, Elaine Wilson of Haughton, and Kathryn Walsworth of Shreveport; four brothers, Otto Batson of Many, Clifton Batson of Zwolle, Marvin Batson of Many, and Clelie Batson of Mansfield; eighteen grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie L. Brown; and an infant son. Pallbearers were grandsons.
