Bro. Robert Shaddock, and Dr. Harvey Hoffman officiated, with Bernice Nethery giving the Eulogy. Interment was in Rosevine Cemetery in Rosevine. Mr. Brown passed away on November 28, 1994, at his residence off FM 2784. Born Dec. 1, 1935, in Hornbeck, as a son of Hollis and the late Nezzie (Woods) Brown, he had lived in Sabine County for 30 years. Brown was a rigger foreman with Mobil Oil, and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Dorothy Burch Brown of Hemphill; father, Hoillis Brown of Hornbeck; daughter, Shirley Sorrells of Hemphill; two sons, Gerald Tyler of Vidor, and Donald Tyler of Humble; a sister, Merlene Cox of Hornbeck; a brother, Kenneth Brown of Haughton; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by one son, Shane. Pallbearers were Lee Brown, Charles Bridges, Jimmy Thomas, Huey Long, Jerry Vickers, and C. L. Patty.
