All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Eva Jennings Brown Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Jennings Brown, 87, of Bossier, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 26, 1996, at Springridge Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill. Officiating were Rev. Gerald Roberts, pastor of Central Baptist Church of Bossier City, assisted by Rev. Cecil Marr, pastor of Mansfield Road Baptist Church of Shreveport. Burial followed in Springridge Cemetery of Pleasant Hill, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center of Shreveport, after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Pleasant Hill, and a former resident of Stonewall. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker, and a member of Central Baptist Church of Bossier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis L. Brown; one son; and one daughter. Survivors include three sons, Glen Brown (wife Virginia) of Stonewall, Charles Brown (wife Judy) of Cotton Valley, and Cecil Brown (wife Debbie) of Shreveport; and by five daughters, LaVerne Bell (husband Donnell) of Mansfield, Murline Ponder (husband Maurice) of Bossier City, Gloria Green (husband Harold) of Logansport, Ruth Brown (husband Ira) of Bossier City, and Sharon Roberts (husband Bill) of Joaquin, Texas. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three sisters, Beulah Cole, Mae Gilbert, and Evelyn Vandiver. Pallbearers were Donnie Bell, Gary Ponder, Richie Brown, Carey Brown, Chris Brown, and Blake Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be the remaining grandsons.
