All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Headirick Brown Funeral services for Headirick Brown, 64, of Killeen, Texas, were held Tuesday, May 7, 1996, at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many, with an Army Chaplain from Ft. Polk officiating. Sgt. Major Brown was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Leona (Price) Brown of Zwolle. He retired as Command Sergeant Major in 1978, at Ft. Hood, Tex., after serving one tour of duty during the Korean War, and two tours of duty during the Vietnam conflict. He retired in 1993 from AAFES, a food service support unit for Army bases. Sgt. Major Brown will be buried with full military honors conducted by an Army unit based at Ft. Polk. He was also a 32 degree Master Mason, and Shriner. Mr. Brown passed away Thursday, May 2, at Audie Murphy Veterans Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Margie R. (Savell) Brown of Killeen, Tex.; three children, Mary A. Fuller and her husband James of Nolanville, Tex., Becky R. Brown of Killeen, Tex., Lynn Brown and his wife Ann of Harker Heights, Tex.; four grandchildren; one sister, Cassie Leone of Bossier City; one brother, W. F. (Babe) Brown of Shreveport; mother-in-law, Effie Savell of Many; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
