Mr. Oather Brown

  Funeral services for Mr. Oather Brown, 80, of Haughton, were
held at Prewitt's Chapel Baptist Church in Hornbeck. Officiating
was Rev. Douglas Chance, and Rev. Huey Haymond. Interment was in
Prewitt's Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Les Fontaine
Funeral Home.

  Mr. Brown was born in Hornbeck on June 14, 1916, to Duncan and
Julia Hilton Brown. He and his wife Addie had resided in Haughton
for several years.

  Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Addie Sales Brown of
Haughton; one daughter, Newlyn Vannucci of Colorado Springs,
Colo.; one sister, Geneva Fleming of Shreveport; one brother,
Edward Brown of Hornbeck; two grandchildren, Brian Vannucci of
Dallas, Texas, and Nicole Vannucci of Colorado Springs, Colo.;
and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

  Pallbearers included Ronald Brown, Kevin Brown, Larry Chance,
Allen Brown, and Robert Ed Williams.
