A private family service was held. Mrs. Brown was born near Florien, and has lived in the Liberty, Texas area since 1960. She had resided in Kilgore, Texas, before moving to Liberty. Mrs. Brown enjoyed being around children, and had worked at Kids Kampus Daycare for a number of years. She also enjoyed watching football, basketball, and other sports on television, reading, and especially spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Brown Jr. and wife Jo Ann of Deerpark, Texas, and James "Jimbo" Brown and wife Cindy of Liberty, Texas; one brother, W. L. Brown of Flint, Texas; two sisters, Martha Ann Campbell of Arkansas, and Reba Holmes of Tyler, Texas; two grandsons, Matthew Brown of Austin, Texas, and Kaleb Brown of Liberty, Texas; three granddaughters, Taylor Brown of Liberty, Texas, Stephanie Brown of Deerpark, and Angela Brown of Liberty, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Brown Sr.; and one son, Terry Brown. In lieu of normal remembrances, the family requests memorials to be made to the American Cancer Society.
