All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mr. William Chadrick Bryan Mr. William Chadrick Bryan, 30, of Billings, Mont., formerly of Pleasant Hill, died Thursday, Dec. 24. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 1, at Bethany Baptist Church in Marthaville, with interment following at Springridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. The Rev. Vernon Stephenson, and the Rev. Billy Burkett officiated. Mr. Bryan died in a vehicle accident Christmas Eve Day, on the John Scott Quarter Horse Ranch near Billings, Mont., where he was employed as a working cowboy. Mr. Bryan was a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He was previously employed for four years, and several summers at Cross Sabers Guest Ranch, out of Cody, Wyoming, as a wrangler, packer, and cowboy poet. He was also employed the last four and a half years at Scott Ranch. He was unusual in that he rejected the secular life, as much as possible, and chose instead to simply follow his dreams. Survivors include his parents, William J. Bryan, and Sandra Middleton Bryan of Pleasant Hill; two brothers, George Hamp Bryan, and Josh Bryan, both of Shreveport; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
