Mrs. J. S. Brown

  Funeral services for Mrs. J. S. Brown, 78, a lifelong resident
of Oak Grove, were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 9, at
Fellowship Baptist Church, with the Rev. V. R. Miller, and Rev.
Joel Harris officiating.

  Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett
Funeral Home of Mansfield.

  Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, after a long illness.

  Survivors are her husband, J. S. Brown; three sons, O. F. Brown,
and Reece Brown of Oak Grove, and B. A. Brown of the U. S. Army,
New Orleans; two grandchildren; two brothers, Luther Sherwood,
and T. R. Sherwood of Converse; two sisters, Mrs. W. D. Gates of
Converse, and Mrs. Hattie Bossier of Port Arthur, Tex.
