Funeral services were held Saturday, May 1, at 2 p.m., in the Union Baptist Church, with the Rev. C. V. Chance officiating. Burial was in the Toro Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Robert Blumfield of Shreveport; one son, W. A. Brumfield; one daughter, Mrs. Alice Faye Vito of Silver Springs, Md.; five brothers, L. E. Powell, and J. W. Powell, both of Florien, H. D. Powell of Sulphur, Marvin Powell of Merryville, and Clarence Powell of Runge, Tex.; four sisters, Mrs. Marion Lay of Shreveport, Mrs. Edith Newman, and Mrs. Maudie Craft, both of Florien, and Mrs. Lena Ayers of Many; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Monroe Powell, Ezra Powell, Conrad Craft, Eugene Craft, Steven Powell, and Jerry Powell.
