All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Caroline Brumfield Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Wells Brumfield of Zwolle, were held at Haskins Chapel United Methodist, at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 13. Officiating were the Rev. Frank Williams, and the Rev. L. C. Jennings. Burial was in the Garden of Memories, under the direction of the Winnfield Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Mrs. Brumfield died on Friday, Feb. 5, at 8 p.m. She was 100 years old. Born in Bienville Parish, she moved to Zwolle in 1938, and joined the Haskins Chapel Church. She was the mother of the church, and served faithfully until her death. She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Jim Wells. She was the mother of one daughter, Sammie Lee Williams, who also preceded her in death. Survivors include a granddaughter, Mrs. Gardie B. James; and a sister, Mrs. Lillie Green, both of Ruston; a brother, Elijah Green of Monroe; four great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; five great-great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers were Edward McElroy, Robert Cooper, Arnold Staton, Fred Scott, Claude Shelby Jr., and Ronald Shelby.
