Evelyn Sweet Brumfield

  Sister Evelyn Sweet Brumfield was born April 8, 1931, to Mr. Abe
Sweet, and Mrs. Katheline Sweet of Many.

  She departed this life, Sunday, March 29, at 7:10 p.m., at
Sabine Medical Center.

  She united with the Morning Star Baptist Church at an early age.
She was married to Mr. Charles Brumfield, and to this union, 11
children were born. One preceded her in death.

  She leaves to mourn, 5 daughters, Omega Brumfield, Edna Jackson,
Evelyn Rachal, Earnestine Starks of Many, and Shirley Holbert of
Florien; five sons, Wallace, Henry, Willie, and John Brumfield,
all of Many, and Charles Brumfield of Campti; four brothers, R.
A. Ruel, Charles Lynn, and Frank Sweet, all of Many; five
sisters, Lucille, Irma, Rose, Jeweline Philyaw, and Gertrude
Harris, all of Many; sixteen grandchildren; six great
grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
