Burns, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Burns of Florien, were held at the Antioch Baptist Church on Monday, Oct 23, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Don Nunley, and the Rev. Kwan Soo Song officiated. M/Sgt. Burns was buried with military honors in the Antioch Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. The 36 year old native of Florien was killed in an auto accident in Germany on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 3:15 p.m. Survivors include his widow, Son OK Burns of Coppers Cove, Tex.; two daughters, Barbie Ann Burns, and Sally Marie Burns, both of Coppers Cove, Tex.; one son, Jack P. Burns Jr. of Coppers Cove, Tex.,; one brother, John H. Burns of Noble; one sister, Wanda Sue Alford of Florien, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Aggie Yawn of Silsbee, Tex.
