Mack Burns, 59, of Shreveport, were held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, July 23, in Rose-Neath Funeral Home's Southside Chapel, with Billy Crosby, pastor of Summer Grove Baptist Church, officiating. Burial followed in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Burns died Friday, July 20, in M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas, after a short illness. A Zwolle native, he had lived in Shreveport six years. He was a swimming pool contractor, and a member of the Summer Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Gladys Burns of Shreveport; mother, Mrs. M. J. Wilson of Arlington, Texas; son, William R. Patterson of Shreveport; daughters, Dorothy Standley of Euless, Texas, and Renea Ferriss of Enid Okla.; brother, Robert Glen Burns of Shreveport; sisters, Mrs. K. D. Albert of Newport News, Va., and Mrs. E. S. Barney of Arlington; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were Hubert Glen Burns, Charles P. Burns, Jim Willis, Richard M. Barney, Rick Wiseman, Tommy J. Anderson, and Ted Albert.
