Essie B. Burns

  Mrs. Essie Burns of Hornbeck, died Sept. 19, at Fraser Hospital
North, at the age of 70.

  Mrs. Burns is survived by her husband, Preston D. Burns of
Hornbeck; two daughters, Myrtle Reeves, Baton Rouge, Nancy
Murphy, Shreveport; one brother Monroe T. Byrd, Weatherford,
Texas; three sisters, Maude Slay, Blanche Byrd, both of Hornbeck,
Susan Gordy, Shreveport; six grandchildren; and six great
grandchildren.

  Funeral services for Mrs. Burns were held at the Pisgah Baptist
church on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 11 a.m. Interment was in Pisgah
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
Brother W. T. Love officiated the services.
