Minnie Minerva Burns

  Services for Mrs. Minerva Burns, 82, of Leesville, were held at
2 p.m., Sunday, June 23, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Florien,
La., with the Rev. Fred Cory, and the Rev. Kenneth Leach
officiating. Burial was at Castor Cemetery in Leesville, under
the direction of Hixon Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Burns died Friday, June 21, 1985, at 5:30 a.m., at Heritage
Manor Nursing Home in Many.

  She is survived by three sons, Carnie Burns of Anacoco, La.,
Billie John Burns of Shreveport, John B. Burns Sr. of Lake
Charles; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Miller of Florien, Mrs.
Stella Steliga of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mrs. Lola Davis of
Florien; eleven grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren.
