George L. Branch

  Funeral services for Mr. George L. Branch, 86, were held at 4
p.m., Wednesday, December 6, at the Aimwell Baptist Church.
Interment followed in Aimwell Cemetery. Rev. Steve Neesley
officiated.

  Mr. Branch passed away Monday, December 4, at Memorial Southwest
Hospital in Houston, Texas.

  He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Samuel and
Linda Branch of Stafford, Texas, and Dr. James Michael and Dori
Branch of Lake Charles; two daughters, Beverly Gail Seegers and
her husband David of Many, and Faye Carter of Tomball, Texas; six
sisters, Lois Austin of Belmont, Truey Gibson of Provencal,
Eloise Austin of Converse, Media Bray of Zwolle, Maude Lee, and
Leta Cain, both of Rayville; three brothers, Jeff Branch, and
Hugh Branch, both of Rayville, and Elliott Branch of Columbia;
five grandchildren, Brad Branch, Chris Branch, Lara Beth Branch,
Wade Seegers, and April Seegers.

  Mr. Branch was an Alderman in Many, owned a jewelry shop in Many
for over 35 years, was Dep. Grand Master in Masonic Lodge, and
was a Shriner for many years. Mr. Branch had been retired for ten
years.
