Ellis Leon Burns, Sr.

  Funeral services for Ellis Leon Burns Sr., 104, of Shreveport,
were held Thursday, April 4, at 2 p.m., at Old Pisgah Baptist
Church.

  Rev. Alvon Hall officiated. Burial was in the Zwolle City
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Burns died April 1, in Natchitoches.

  Survivors are five sons, Leon Burns, Bryan Burns, and Lloyd
Burns, all of Shreveport, David Burns of Tampa, Fla., and Henry
Burns of Natchitoches; five daughters, Margaret Burns Harlan of
Oklahoma City, Ruth Burns Oates of Lafayette, Helen Burns Griffin
of Clarksville, Tenn., Dorothy Burns Young of Wisner, and Alice
Burns McAdams of Clinton, Miss.; one sister, Zadie Burns Winkler
of Shreveport; a host of grandchildren, and great grandchildren,
relatives, and friends.
