William Brantley

  William Brantley, 83, of Many, died in Mansfield, at 9 a.m. on
Thursday, Feb. 17, following an extended illness.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rena Brantley of Many; two
sons, Jack Brantley, and Bill Brantley, both of Shreveport; two
daughters, Mrs. Jessie Mae Thomas, and Mrs. Alice Pearl
Harrington, both of Shreveport; one stepson, Drewie McCormic of
Florien; two stepdaughters, Lula Mae Russell of Lufkin, Tex., and
Susie Davis of Zwolle; one sister, Mrs. Izzie Mitchell of Many;
13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews.

  Funeral services were held in the Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel
on Friday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Linzy H. Foley
officiating. Burial was in the Florien Cemetery.
