Burnette, 48, a 20-year Shreveport resident, were at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 18, at Springridge Baptist church in Pleasant Hill, with the Rev. Foster Jennings officiating. Burial was in Springridge Cemetery, under direction of Wellman Funeral Home. Mr. Burnette, a native of Pleasant Hill, died Wednesday, June 15. He is survived by two sons, Jim Burnette of San Diego, Calif., and Bill Burnette of Natchitoches; two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Powell of New Orleans, and Nancy Burnette of Natchitoches; one brother, Kenneth Burnette of Shreveport; four sisters, Mrs. Marie Free, Mrs. Muriel Hodges, Mrs. Doris Smith, and Mrs. Jo Lee Bolton, all of Shreveport; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Glen Free, Boe Free, Dean Bass, Jim Nelson, Audis Sanders, and Roger Bolton.
