Burnitt, 76, of DeQuincy, were at 2 p.m., Wednesday, in First Baptist Church of DeQuincy. Burial was in Rigmaiden Cemetery, under the direction of Snider Funeral Home of DeQuincy. Rev. Burnitt died early Monday, March 13, in St. Patrick Hospital in DeQuincy. He was a retired Baptist minister, and had preached in Texas and Louisiana. Survivors include widow, Mrs. Agnes Burnitt; sons, Edward S. Burnitt of Converse, the Rev. Bobby G. Burnitt of Meeker, Abner Burnitt of Tuscalossa, Ala., and John Burnitt of Anchorage, Alaska; daughters, Mrs. Mildred Bell of Shreveport, Mrs. Deloris Hines of DeQuincy, Mrs. Ruth Hesser of Atlanta, Texas, and Mrs. Rose Swain of Ft. Rucker, Ala.; brother, Henry Burnitt of Dry Creek; sisters, Mrs. Addie Marcantel of Kinder, Mrs. Mae Newman of Baytown, Texas, and Mrs. Edith Marler of Elmer; 30 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
