Burnett Shreveport, La. - Services for Kenneth L. Burnett, 40, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 1, 1992, at Westview Christian Church. Officiating was Ervin Duncan, minister of Westview Christian Church, assisted by Rev. Durrell Tuberville, Chaplain of the Shreveport Fire Department. Burial was held in Forest Park West Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Southside Funeral Home. Mr. Burnett died Monday, April 27, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Pleasant Hill, La., and had resided in Shreveport most of his life. Mr. Burnett was an EMT paramedic with the Shreveport Fire Department for 19 years, and with Schumpert Medical Center Life Air 1 for five years. He was a member and deacon of Westview Christian Church, and member of the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Burnett; two sons, Joey Burnett, and Matthew Burnett, all of Shreveport; two brothers, Doyle Jennings of Pineville, La., and Von Jennings of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Roma Emery of Wichita, Kansas, Jo Lea Bolton, and Muriel Hodges, both of Shreveport; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tim Thames, Tom Burns, Bobby Robinson, Don Lawler, Michael Taylor, and Ken Conley. Honorary pallbearers will be men of Westview Christian Church. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation in Metairie, La.
