Barnhill, 79, of Bastrop, died Sunday in the Moorehouse General Hospital, after a long illness. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bastrop, and a farmer. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, in the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ray Rust officiating. Burial was in the Taylor Cemetery near Farmerville, under the First National Funeral Home of Bastrop. Survivors include his widow, of Bastrop; four sons, R. V. Barnhill, and Truel Barnhill, both of Bastrop, Troy Barnhill of Columbus, Ga., and Wayne Barnhill of Monroe; three daughters, Zelma Thames of Andrews, Tex., Pearl Moore of Woodland Hill, Calif., and Mrs. Holvis Elemer of Columbus Ga.; two brothers, G. F. Barnhill of Delhi, and Lee Barnhill of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. J. J. Williams of Monticello, Ark., Mrs. H. T. Albritton of Bastrop, and Mrs. Floyd Sistrunk of Converse; 26 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
