Brumley, 76, of Houston, died Saturday, Aug. 26, after an extended illness. He is survived by five sons, Harold Brumley of Houston, Lawrence Brumley of Porter, Jessie Allen Brumley of Many, Jack Brumley of Henderson, and Connie Brumley of Cleveland, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Pate, Mrs. Lurline Corley, and Mrs. Eartis Cates, all of Houston; three brothers, Frank Brumley of Kirbyville, Eugene Brumley of Jacksonville, and Jessie Lee Brumley of LaPorte, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Walker of Shreveport, and Mrs. Annie Bee McWhirter of Channelview, Tex.; 35 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. His body was taken to the Emmanuel Gospel Church near Marthaville to lie in state until services were held Monday, at 1 p.m. The Rev. Barney Cabra, and the Rev. Willis Greer officiated. Interment was in the Old Pisgah Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
