The Sabine Index - Bernice Barnhill 
  
  9 Oct 1959 - Funeral rites for Bernice Barnhill, age 51, were 
held last Saturday at 2:30 from the Chapel of the Church of Jesus 
Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with Bishop Mack Hayes, Jr., and 
Elder Joseph F. Nope officiating. Burial was in the Cedar Grove 
cemetery under the direction of the Warren Funeral home. 
  
  Pallbearers were: Harold French, Raymond French, Glen Hardy, 
Johnnie Jackson, Calvin Farmer and Aubrey Hardy. 
  
  Survivors include: Son, Jerry Bernice Barnhill of Port Isabel, 
Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Sammie L. Dowden, Port Isabel, Texas, 
Mrs. W. G. Herring, Hamstead, Fla., Mrs. Wililam Overdorf, 
Nescopheck, Penn., and Miss Beverly Ruth Barnhill., Port Isabell, 
Texas. 
  
  Sister, Mrs. Henry Gilcrease, Flora, and Mrs. Elmer Kavanaugh, 
Longview, Wash. Also three grandchildren. 
  
  Mr. Barnhill passed away last Thursday after an extended 
illness.
