The Sabine Index - Mrs. J. B. Brumley, Sr.

  14 Mar 1941 - Last rites for Mrs. J. B. Brumley, Sr., age 79
years, were held at Mt. Zion Baptist church Wednesday at 2:30,
Rev. J. D. Scott officiating, Rev. C. W. Williams and Rev. Harry
Ferguson assisting. Funeral directed by Dennis-Green funeral
home. Interment in Mt. Zion cemetery.

  Surviving are five sons, W. H., J. B., Jr., E. M., J. D., and W.
B., and daughter, Mrs. Lollie Webb.

  Mrs. Brumley, along with her husband who proceeded her in death
only a few years, were among the early settlers of Mt. Zion
community, always taking active part in civic and church
activities in their community and parish.
