The Rev. A. Wayne Mills, pastor of First Church of the Nazarene, where Mrs. Barnhill was a member, officiated. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery. She died at 12:10 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25, at Virginia Hall Nursing Home, following a long illness. Mrs. Barnhill was born in Marthaville, and had been a resident of Shreveport most of her life. She was a retired City Employee. She is survived by her son, Thurstin Barnhill of San Francisco, Calif.; daughters, Mrs. Beulah Pridgen, and Mrs. Iris Pons of Shreveport; grandchildren, Warren Ray Pons, and Mrs. Robert Oliver, both of Grand Cane, and Mrs. Gene Williams Jr. of Shreveport; and great grandchildren, Jason Oliver, and Eugenia Williams. Pallbearers were L. E. Williams Sr., Gene Williams Jr., Ted Pons, Kenneth L. Prothro, Murph D. Shaw, and W. D. Oliver.
