Marshall H. Barnhill

  Funeral services for Mr. Marshall H. Barnhill, age 82, of
Quitman, were held Thursday morning, Jan. 20, at 10 o'clock, in
the Chapel of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro, with the Rev.
William Busby officiating. Burial followed in the Old Raymer
Cemetery near Ashland.

  He died Tuesday night, January 18, 1983, at the Jackson Parish
Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ada Barnhill of Quitman; one
son, Clayton Barnhill of Shreveport, and Mrs. Dorothy Madez of
Dix, Neb.; three brothers, Alvin Barnhill of Many, Henry Barnhill
of Marthaville, and Dewey Byrd of Belcher; one sister, Mrs. Zema
Littlepage of Marble Falls, Tex.; ten grandchildren; and ten
great grandchildren.
