Lillie Barnhill

  Services for Mrs. Lillie Barnhill, 80, of Marthaville, were held
at 2 p.m., Monday, August 27, at the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral
Home Chapel in Natchitoches, La. The Rev. Preston P. Tibbett, and
the Rev. Clarence Berley officiated. Burial was at Marthaville
Cemetery.

  Mrs. Barnhill died Thursday, August 23, 1984, at her residence
in Marthaville, after a brief illness. She was a merchant, and a
native of Marthaville.

  She is survived by one son, Jerry Barnhill of Natchitoches; one
daughter, LaVern Thompson of Corvallis, Oregon; four sisters,
Ludie Beam, Elvie Prothro, Minnie Prothro of Shreveport, Pearl
Blackmon of Longview, Texas; two brothers, Earl Roe of
Marthaville, and Ellis Roe of Frierson, La.; six grandchildren;
and one great grandchild.
