Elton Martgin, and Bro. Joe Ratcliff officiating. Burial was in the Beulah Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Barnhill died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 1985, at 5:15 p.m., at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Many. He was 87. He is survived by three sons, Raymond Barnhill, and Randy Barnhill, both of Many, and Don Barnhill of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Julie Lites, Many; one brother, Henry Barnhill, Marthaville; one step brother, G. D. Byrd, Belcher, La.; one sister, Zema Littlepage, Marble Falls, Tex.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Born in Marthaville, to Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Barnhill, he was one of seven children. Childhood years were spent working on the family farm. Following his education in Marthaville Schools, he entered the contracting and timber business. He also raised cattle on his own land in Marthaville. He retired to a small farm in Mt. Zion nearly twenty years ago. Mr. Barnhill was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Crump Barnhill. Both were members of the Mt. Zion Church.
