  Mr. James J. D. Daniel Brumley, 77, died Saturday, June 6, 2001,
at Grace Home.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., June 12, at Warren Meadows
Funeral Home, with interment following at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The
Rev. David McCormick officiated.

  Survivors include three daughters, Linda Darline Murray and
husband Malcom of Leesville, Pamela Murray and husband Harold of
Mansfield, and Priscilla Johnson and husband Richard of Elm
Grove; one sister, Beatrice Hardy of Many; eight grandchildren;
seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews,
which he loved dearly, and friends. He is also survived by a
special friend, Frances Creech.

  Mr. Brumley was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years,
Jessie Brumley; parents, Tom and Lillie Brumley; two sisters,
Bertha Slaughter, and Emma LeDoux; and one son, James Larry
Brumley.

  Pallbearers were Louis Slaughter, Dewayne Slaughter, Jimmy
Speight, Edward Murray, David Murray, and Malcom Murray.
