She was born in Many, and resided in Shreveport for 38 years. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a willing servant of Jesus Christ. She was a homemaker, and a member of Pinecroft Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Willie Brumley. Survivors include one son, J. Randell Brumley of Keithville; one daughter, Etoise Bamberg of Shreveport; three sisters, Bertha Webb of Many, Vernice Ludwig of Stuttgart, Ark., Hattie Mae Grubbs of Monticello, Ark.; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Jason R. Brumley, Jared R. Brumley, Justin A. Brumley, Martin Brumley, Deany Brumley, and Lindell Webb. Services for Mrs. Brumley, 91, were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 31, 1994, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating was Rev. Eddie DeHondt, associate pastor of Summer Grove Baptist Church. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Many, with graveside services, at 3 p.m.
