Bergie F. "Shorty" Barnhill

  Services for Mr. Bergie F. "Shorty" Barnhill were held Saturday,
March 26, at 2 p.m., at the Lewis Chapel Pentecostal Church,
Marthaville. Burial followed in the Marthaville Cemetery.
Officiating was the Reverends Roland George, Harold Bagnetto, and
J. M. Cason. Arrangements were under the direction of
Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches.

  Mr. Barnhill, 84, of Marthaville, died at 3:40 p.m., March 24,
at the Willis Knighton Medical Center, Shreveport.

  Mr. Barnhill was a native of Marthaville, and a resident of
Pleasant Hill, La. He was a member of the Lewis Chapel
Pentecostal Church, Marthaville, and he was a Mason in the Noble
Masonic Lodge #320, Noble, La.

  Survivors include one son, Kenneth Barnhill of Shreveport; one
daughter, Juanita Sattler of Frierson, La.; four grandchildren,
Shawn Barnhill, Ray Sattler, Roy Sattler, and Tina Pearson; and
seven great grandchildren, Ashley Sattler, Laura Sattler, Jared
Sattler, Caitlin Sattler, Kyle Pearson, Meagan Pearson, and Chase
Barnhill.

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Norma Lee Hayes
Barnhill; and one grandson, Skip Barnhill.

  Pallbearers were Shawn Barnhill, Roy Sattler, Ted Singletary,
Ray Sattler, LaDale Pearson, Barney Barnhill.

  Honorary pallbearers were Preston Hayes Sr., Garland Hayes, and
Glenn Barnhill.
