Otis L. "Cooter" Barnhill

  Funeral services for Otis L. "Cooter" Barnhill, 74, were held at
2 p.m., on March 25, at First Baptist Church, Marthaville.

  Officiating were Rev. Ray Dyess, and Rev. Aubrey Veuleman.
Interment was in Marthaville, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Barnhill passed away on March 23, in Shreveport.

  Mr. Barnhill was born on January 2, 1921, in Marthaville, to
Katie Crump and Oscar F. Barnhill.

  Mr. Barnhill married Jo Ann Dixon on September 16, 1947, in
Dayton, Tex.

  Survivors include his widow, Jo Ann D. Barnhill of Marthaville;
two sons and daughters-in-law, Otis V. and Shirley Barnhill, and
Gerry W. and Jan Barnhill, all of Florien; two brothers and
sisters-in-law, Virgil and his wife Delores Barnhill of
Marthaville, and Charles and his wife Margie Barnhill of Willis,
Tex.; one sister-in-law, Dollie Barnhill of Many; three
grandchildren, Heather Barnhill, Vanessa Barnhill, and Michael
Van Barnhill; and a host of nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers were Neal Craig, Kenny Barnhill, Dale Barnhill,
Benny Barnhill, David Barnhill, Michael Springer, Jimmy
Whitehead, and Charles Davis.

  Honorary pallbearers were Don Winn, Ira Berry, and Jewel D.
Berry.
