Mr. Alvin Maurice Brownlee

  Mr. Alvin Maurice Brownlee, 85, died Saturday, Oct. 31, at
Schumpert Medical Center.

  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3, at First
Baptist Church of Florien, with interment following at Prospect
Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Hines officiated.

  Survivors include his widow, Juanita Brownlee of Florien; three
daughters, Judith M. Brownlee and husband Floyd Bond of Denver,
Colo., Karen Smith and husband Glenn Smith of Port Arthur, Texas,
and Kathryn Aldridge and husband Bob Aldridge of Florien; two
sisters, Frances Soileau and husband W. J. Soileau of Nederland,
Texas, and Janelle Whittington of Florien, La.; three
grandchildren, David Peak of Denver, Colo., Jason Smith and wife
Melissa Smith of New Orleans, and Erick Smith of Port Arthur,
Texas; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

  Masons were the honorary pallbearers.
