JoAnn Dixon Barnhill

  JoAnn Dixon Barnhill, 74, of Marthaville, died April 8, 2002, at
LSU Medical Center.

  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., April 11, at First
Baptist Church in Marthaville, with interment following at
Marthaville Cemetery. The Rev. Ray Dyess, and the Rev. Bob Salley
officiated.

  Survivors include two sons, Van Barnhill and wife Shirley of
Florien, Gerry Barnhill and wife Jan of Mt. Carmel; sister, Ouida
Bennett of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Charles Dixon of
Shreveport, and Terry Dixon of Lake Bisteneau; two
granddaughters, Heather Flenniken and husband Jeremy of Mt.
Carmel, and Vanessa Barnhill of Florien; one grandson, Michael
Barnhill of Houston, Texas; one great grandson, Diego Almanza of
Florien; dear friend, Jean Berry of Marthaville; and a host of
nieces, and nephews, and friends.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Sallye
Dixon; brother, Alva Dixon; and husband, Otis Barnhill.
