He was a retired building contractor. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Little Flock Baptist Church, with interment following at Little Flock Cemetery. Bro. Kenneth Leach, pastor of Beulah Baptist Church, Toledo Bend, officiated. Survivors include his widow, Hazel Miller Branam of Negreet; four sons, Ottis Branam and wife Billie, Bill Branam and wife Nadine, and Kerry Branam and wife Shelia, all of Negreet, and Merel Branam and wife Jonnie of Shreveport; two daughters, Nesta Reeves and husband Stan of Many, and Jean Robbins and husband Randy of Shreveport; one sister, Ceola Speight of Houston, Texas; one brother, Theo Branam of Americas, Ga.; 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Pallbearers were D. Ray Isgitt, Jimmy Garcie, Wayne, Clint, Tracy, and Dane Branam.
