Claude Edward Browning, Sr.

  Funeral services were held for Rev. Claude Edward Browning Sr.,
age 79, of Florien, La., were held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, June 7,
at Warren Meadows Chapel.

  The Rev. Bobby McCullough, Rev. Larry Hubbard, and Rev. Doug
Hilton officiated. Burial was held in the Florien Cemetery, under
the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Browning died on Friday, June 5, at Sabine Medical Center in
Many.

  He is survived by his wife, Myrtie Browning of Fisher, La.; one
son, Edward Claude Browning Jr. of Natchitoches, La.; four
daughters, Bennie Lou Browning of Fisher, La., Nadine Slaughter
of Florien, La., Netha Powell of Florien, La., and Imogene Salter
of Many, La.,; one brother, Woodrow Browning of San Antonio,
Texas; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of
nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers are as follows: Mickey Browning, Lambart Powell,
Rowland Powell, Leonard Powell, Ronald Powell, and Richard
Slaughter. Honorary pallbearers are as follows: Kim Browning,
Suzanne Craft, Tenna Cook, Lisa Edwards, Ronda DuBose, Terri
Sigler.
