Edward Claude (E. C.) Browning, Sr.

  Funeral services for Edward Claude (E. C.) Browning Sr., age 79,
were held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, June 7th at the Warren Meadows
Chapel. Officiating were Rev. Bobby McCullough, Rev. Larry
Hubbard, and Rev. Doug Hilton, with interment at the Florien
Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.

  Mr. Browning died on Friday, June 5, at the Sabine Medical
Center in Many, La.

  He is survived by his wife, Myrtie Browning of Fisher, La.; one
son, Edward Claude Browning Jr. of Natchitoches, La.; four
daughters, Bennie Lou Browning of Fisher, La., Nadine Slaughter
of Florien, La., Netha Powell of Florien, La., and Imogene Salter
of Many, La.; one brother, Woodrow Browning of San Antonio,
Texas; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of
nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers were Mickey Browning, Lambart Powell, Rowland
Powell, Leonard Powell, Ronald Powell, and Richard Slaughter.
Honorary pallbearers were Kim Browning, Suzanne Craft, Tenna
Cook, Lisa Edwards, Ronda Dubose, and Terri Sigler.
