Officiating were Rev. Bobby McCullough, and Rev. Wayne Hicks, and Rev. Doug Hilton. Interment was in Florien Cemetery. Mrs. Browning died Sept. 26, 1995, in Integrated Health Services of Many, South. Survivors include one son, Edward Browning; and wife, Marilyn of Natchitoches; four daughters, Bennie Lou Browning of Fisher, Nadine Slaughter and husband Jerry of Florien, Netha Powell and husband Monroe of Many, and Imogene Salter and husband Will of Many; four sisters, Molly Ensinger of Many, Issie Clark of Burkville, Texas, Mellie Stewart, and Willie O'Bryant, both of Blanchard; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Mrs. Browning was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. E. C. Browning Sr.; parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ben Burleson; one sister, Mrs. Ollie Ferguson; and one brother, Dewey Burleson. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Leonard Powell, Lambert Powell, Rowland Powell, Ronald Powell, Richard Slaughter, and Micky Browning. Honorary pallbearers were her granddaughters, Teena Salter Cook, Terri Salter Sigler, Suzanne Slaughter Craft, Rhonda Powell Dubose, Kim Browning Blaine, and Lisa Browning Edwards.
