Officiating were the Rev. Bobby McCullough, the Rev. Wayne Hicks, and the Rev. Doug Hilton. Interment was in Florien Cemetery. Mrs. Browning died September 26, 1995, in Integrated Health Services of Many, South. Survivors include one son, Edward Browning and wife Marilyn of Natchitoches; four daughters, Bennie Lou Browning of Fisher, Nadine Slaughter and husband Jerry of Florien, Netha Powell and husband Monroe of Many; and Imogene Salter and husband of Many; four sisters, Molly Ensinger of Many, Izzle Clark of Burkville, Texas, Mellie Stewart, and Willie O'Bryant, both of Blanchard; two grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Mrs. Browning was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. E. C. Browning Sr.; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Burleson; one sister, Mrs. Ollie Ferguson; and one brother, Dewey Burleson. Pallbearers were her grandson, Leonard Powell, Lambert Powell, Rowland Powell, Ronald Powell, Richard Slaughter, and Micky Browning. Honorary pallbearers were her granddaughter, Tenna Salter Cook, Terri Salter Sigler, Suzanne Slaughter Craft, Rhonda Powell Dubose, Kim Browning Blaine, and Lisa Browning Edwards.
