Katie C. Browning

  Funeral services for Katie C. Browning, 89, of Florien, will be
held Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996, at 10 a.m., at Pine Grove Baptist
Church in Peason. Officiating will be Rev. Glen Flenniken, and
Rev. Roger Matkin. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Browning died Sunday, Dec. 29, at Sabine Medical Center.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Browning.

  She is survived by three children, Eunice Knippers of Florien,
Elvis Browning and wife Betty of Florien, and Nelda Nett of Many;
two sisters, Amy Eason of Florien, and Murene McGraw of Hornbeck;
three brothers, Bill Clark of DeRidder, Floyd Clark of
Shreveport, and Hoyt Clark of Many; nine grandchildren; 14 great
grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; a host of
nieces, nephews, and close friends.
