Vernice Cobb

  Vernice Jack Cobb, 65, of Pleasant Hill, died Wednesday, Dec.
28, in a local hospital, after a short illness.

  Services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, in the Drewett Funeral
Home Chapel, with the Rev. Billy Banks officiating. Burial
followed in Springridge Cemetery.

  He is survived by his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Doris Ogletree
of Shreveport; one son, Clarence Cobb of Benton; three brothers,
Dallas Cobb, and Bobby Cobb, both of Shreveport, and Odis Cobb of
Mansfield; four sisters, Mrs. Annie Denman, Mrs. Bessie Welch,
Mrs. Hazel Shafer, and Mrs. Dorothy Rodgers, all of Shreveport,
and Mrs. Johnnie Slay of Mansfield, and seven grandchildren.
