Cobb William Arthur Cobb, 52, died at his home in Natchitoches, apparently of a self inflicted gunshot wound. Funeral rites were held April 21, at Emanuel Baptist Church, with the Rev. D. L. Callender officiating. Burial was in the Fort Jesup Cemetery near Many, under the direction of Blanchard's Funeral Home of Natchitoches. He was a native of Sabine Parish, and was employed by the state highway department at Natchitoches. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Simmons Cobb; one son, William J. Cobb of Natchitoches; one stepson, Larry Wade, also of Natchitoches; one daughter, Miss Francis Marie Cobb of Natchitoches; one stepdaughter, Alice Faye Wade of Natchitoches; one brother, Bernice Cobb of Natchitoches; his mother, Mrs. Ada Frances Cobb of Natchitoches; and two grandchildren.
