Cobbs 17 Aug 1951 - Funeral services for W. C. Cobbs, 55, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Spring Ridge Baptist church with the Rev. Needham Clunkett officiating. Burial was in the Spring Ridge cemetery under the direction of Drewett funeral home of Mansfield. Mr. Cobbs, a veteran of World War I and a farmer, died at 3 a.m. Saturday at his Pleasant Hill home. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Betty Jane Cobbs of Pleasant Hill and Mrs. R. L. Owens of Shreveport; three sons, William M of the U. S. navy, Thomas Ray and Patrick of Pleasant Hill; his father, C. M. Cobbs, Pleasant Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Virgil Rains of Henderson, Texas, and Mrs. Noel Rains of Carthage, Texas; four brothers, Lee, Obrey and Walter, all of Pleasant Hill, and R. T. of Kilgore, Texas.
