Mr. Asa Cobbs

  Mr. Asa Cobbs, 79, of Pleasant Hill, died in Pleasant Hill on
Saturday, Feb. 25, at 11:10 p.m., following a short illness.

  He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Pauline Cobbs of Pleasant
Hill; three sons, Asa Ray Cobbs of Pleasant Hill, Billy Cobbs of
Mansfield, and James Cobbs of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a
daughter, Mrs. Delma Cleo Eddleman of Singer; a sister, Mrs.
Vally Strahan of Pleasant Hill; 16 grandchildren, and 26 great
grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the Spring Ridge Baptist Church on
Monday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Willis Greer officiated.
Burial was in the Spring Ridge Cemetery, under the direction of
the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Paul Strahan, Junior Strahan, Bernice Green, W.
O. Cobbs, Wayne Graves, and Bob Terrall.
